Year by year quality getting lower and prices getting higher. Everytime you go they charge different taxes you can buy same item twice and you will see everytime they charge different amount for same items. Seems like financial or tax stealing is very high from customer pockets. I would recommend not to spend money here. There are other restaurants near by very fair and provide good quality food

I love ordering from Dawat and have been a regular customer for takeout. I especially enjoyed your cold sandwiches when they were first introduced—they always tasted fresh and delicious! However, over the last few days, I’ve noticed a change. The bread is no longer as soft as it used to be, and the sandwiches don’t taste as fresh. I’m wondering if there has been a change in how they are stored or prepared. I’d love to continue enjoying them the way I used to! Just wanted to share my feedback in case it helps.

We wanted to see what all the cars parked for and we found this very popular restaurant. The prices are super low and the food pretty decent. If you’re looking for affordable decent food to take home, this is a perfect place for you. This isn’t your common Indian restaurant like Clay Oven or Cilantro’s. Most of our order came cooled except the samosas and roti. The roti was ok but I like naan bread more; it was a little dry and a little sweet. The texture of the roti reminded me of a pancake. We also ordered butter chicken, curry chicken, veg korma, and rice. Once we got home, we warmed them up. The samosas crispy wrapping smoother than what I’m used to and the veggie stuffing was less salty. Overall good light tasting samosa. The red sauce was a little spicy; the white sauce was a bit creamy and taste a little like yogurt. The curry was less oily and creamy than your typical Indian restaurant. The butter chicken was a little spicy which I liked. The curry chickens had very little thickness to it; it was okay in my books. I’m both these curry though the chicken was great; flavourful and soft. The veg korma was surprisingly good too. The rice was okay and nothing special. A few things to note. We tried to order take out over the phone a few times but always went to voicemail. We had to go to the restaurant and order in person. They were super busy as expected. There isn’t much of a menu to view in the store so if you’re new, I recommend looking up some of the photos of the menu and learning what they are. The cashier tried to help explaining some items to us but it was difficult understanding because I didn’t know the names of foods and there were no visual aids (images or a menu)

I have been trying for 3 weeks to get a receipt for food order for $104.16 I have now been lied to 9 times in an attempt to get it and it still has not come. Food was good, but I need to find a new place for our weekly food order to be reimbursed by my company. Too bad , I’m a $5,000 customer a year I will have to take my business elsewhere.

Came on a short trip to Winnipeg and discovered the gem. The place offers great variety of classic indian food and snacks. The place prepares your food quickly and also offers great taste with a low-priced menu. The place is take out only and offers free water bottles. Went there for 3 days back to back. Mandatory order of spring roll and some additional items for snacks such as chat papdi, samosa chat, bread pakora. All there snacks were phenomenal and would cost less then $10 for a person. Actually $19 for 3. The place also serves tiffin. The food is prepared in advance and carefully packed in containers. Easy take out containers for a long trip. The main course meals are a good option people looking for home cooked meals. Over all a spot to get your daily meals. No fancy place but serves the exact purpose really well.
